The widespread rise of high-rise residential buildings has, to a certain extent, prompted product upgrades in the construction materials industry. On some large-scale construction sites, scaffolding systems are increasingly being used for support, playing a crucial role in protecting workers working at height.
What are the components of a scaffolding system? A new type of socket-and-socket scaffolding, it consists of crossbars, vertical posts, diagonal braces, top supports, horizontal supports, safety ladders, and hook-and-hook ramps.
1. Crossbars: Crossbars for scaffolding systems are generally made of Q235B and are available in lengths of 0.6m, 0.9m, 1.2m, 1.5m, and 2.1m, with a wall thickness of 2.75mm. Composed of plugs, wedge pins, and steel pipes, the crossbars snap onto the circular discs of the vertical posts.
2. Uprights: Uprights are the primary supporting components of a scaffolding system. They are typically made of Q345B steel and can be made up to 3 meters in length, with 2 meters being the most common in China. They have a wall thickness of 3.25mm. Circular connecting plates are welded every 0.5m onto 48mm and 60mm diameter steel pipes, allowing for eight different connection options. Connecting sleeves or internal connecting rods are welded to one end of the uprights to increase the height of the vertical uprights.
3. Diagonal Braces: Scaffolding systems are typically made of Q195B steel with a wall thickness of 2.75mm. Diagonal braces are divided into vertical and horizontal braces, ensuring the stability of the scaffolding structure. Connectors are installed at both ends of the steel pipes, and their length is determined by the spacing and pitch of the scaffolding units.
4. Adjustable Top Support (U Support): Generally made of Q235B, the outer diameter of the 48 series is 38mm, and the outer diameter of the 60 series is 48mm. Available lengths are 500mm and 600mm. The wall thickness of the 48 series scaffolding is 5mm, while the wall thickness of the 60 series scaffolding is 6.5mm. This support is installed on the top support of the vertical pole, receiving the keel and adjusting the height of the supporting scaffold.
5. Adjustable Base (Flat Support): Generally made of Q235B, the outer diameter of the 48 series scaffolding is 38mm, while the outer diameter of the 60 series scaffolding is 48mm. Available lengths are 500mm and 600mm. The wall thickness of the 48 series scaffolding is 5mm, while the wall thickness of the 60 series scaffolding is 6.5mm. This base (which comes in two types, hollow and solid) is installed at the bottom of the scaffolding to adjust the height of the vertical pole. It is important to note that to ensure the safety of construction workers, it should generally be installed no higher than 30cm from the ground.
6. Safety Ladder: A scaffolding system with interlocking hooks consists of 6-9 steel steps and ladder beams, with a vertical height of generally 1.5 meters.
7. Hook Step: 1.5mm thick, made of pre-galvanized steel strip that is punched, rolled, and welded. Hooks are welded to each end, and a ladder-shaped brace is welded to the bottom. It offers high strength and light weight. A safety ladder typically consists of 6-9 steel steps.
