According to the “Safety Technical Standard for Socket-Type Disc-Lock Steel Pipe Scaffolding in Building Construction” JGJ/T 231-2021, disc-lock scaffolding models are mainly divided into two categories: standard type (Type B) and heavy-duty type (Type Z).
- Type Z: This is commonly referred to as the 60 series in the market. The upright diameter is 60.3mm, and the material is Q355B. It is often used for heavy-duty support, such as in bridge engineering.
- Type B: This is the 48 series. The upright diameter is 48.3mm, and the material is Q355B. It is often used in building construction projects.
Furthermore, based on the connection method of the uprights, disc-lock scaffolding is divided into two types: outer sleeve connection and inner connecting rod connection. Currently, the 60 series disc-lock scaffolding generally uses an inner connection, while the 48 series disc-lock scaffolding generally uses an outer sleeve connection.
Second, what are the specifications of disc-lock scaffolding?
The main components of disc-lock scaffolding are: uprights, horizontal bars, diagonal braces, and adjustable supports.
- Uprights: The distance between the discs is 500mm; therefore, the modular size of the uprights is 500mm. Commonly used sizes are 500mm, 1000mm, 1500mm, 2000mm, and 2500mm. There are also base sizes of 200mm and 350mm.
- Horizontal bars: The modular size is 300mm. Common sizes are 300mm, 600mm, 900mm, 1200mm, 1500mm, and 1800mm. (Note that the “model 900mm” refers to the center-to-center distance between the two uprights connected to the crossbar; the actual crossbar length is approximately 850mm.)
- Adjustable upper and lower supports: The adjustable upper support screw length is 600mm, and the exposed length of the screw must not exceed 400mm during use; the adjustable base screw length is 500mm, and the exposed length of the screw must not exceed 300mm during use.
The thickness of the support plates for both adjustable upper and lower supports is 5mm. The base side dimensions are 100mm x 100mm, and the upper support side dimensions are 170mm x 150mm. The height of the upper support steel plate is 50mm.
