Things to note when erecting portal scaffolding

Erection height of portal scaffolding: For portal scaffolding, specifications 5.3.7 and 5.3.8 stipulate that the erection height of single-tube landing scaffolds generally does not exceed 50m. When the height of the frame exceeds 50m, double-tube poles can be used. or segmented unloading and other methods to provide the technical guarantee, and must be designed separately. Therefore, under reasonable unloading methods, floor-standing fastener steel pipe scaffolding can be erected higher, even greater than 80m; but, If the erection height exceeds 50m, the one-time investment is too large and it is not cost-effective. The segmented cantilever erection method is often used.

Things to note when erecting portal scaffolding

1. The erection sequence of the scaffolding: Install the base. The first step is to install the frame on the base. Install the shear brace, lay the foot pedal (or parallel frame), insert the barge core, and install the previous step. Install the door frame and install the locking arm.

2. Gantry-type scaffolding should be erected from one end to the other end, and the previous step of scaffolding should be erected after the first step of scaffolding is completed.

3. Install the base according to the position marked on the pad (or pad) and insert the two door frames on the first floor. Then install the cross brace and lock the lock to ensure the stability of the installed door frame.

4. Set up the subsequent gantry in sequence; for each gantry, install the shear brace lock the locking piece, and fix the base with nails to prevent slippage.

5. After the first step of scaffolding is set up, use a level to detect the elevation of the gantry, and use the adjustable base to adjust the height so that the elevation of the upper part of the gantry is consistent.

6. Install the lock arms on the lock seats at the upper end of the mast in sequence. The direction of the lockarms should be such that the other end is upward and bent in the same direction. Do not go in the wrong direction to avoid being unable to install in place when connecting to the mast in the previous step.

7. After the first step of gantry scaffolding is erected, the second step of scaffolding can be erected back from the end of the first step of scaffolding to prevent connection difficulties caused by errors at the joints.

8. When erecting gantry-type scaffolding upwards, the steel escalator should be installed simultaneously at the specified position. The bottom end of the bottom step steel escalator must be fixed with a steel pipe.

9. For the entire gantry-type scaffolding, horizontal reinforcement rods and cross-reinforcement rods should be added to increase the overall stiffness. The horizontal and cross-reinforcement rods are made of steel pipes and are vertically connected to the mast with fasteners. The angle between the cross-reinforcement rod and the mast vertical rod should be about 45°.

10. When erecting the gantry-type scaffolding, the outer safety net must be installed accordingly.

11. After the first two-door frames are fixed with shear braces, the foot pedals or horizontal frames are installed, and the hook locks at both ends should be locked as they are installed.
