First, clarify the project’s scaffolding requirements (the first step).

It’s best suited for ordinary buildings with limited budgets, complex designs, or low-rise structures.
- Portal scaffolding: Excellent stability, extremely easy and quick to erect and dismantle. However, its disadvantages are limited span and height, and the members are prone to deformation. It’s best suited for low- to medium-height projects like building construction, renovation, and maintenance that require frequent assembly and disassembly.

Third, evaluate the scaffolding partnership model: leasing vs. purchasing.
- Leasing: Suitable for short-term projects, significantly reducing initial capital pressure. The manufacturer typically provides maintenance and transportation services. Choose a reputable rental company with sufficient inventory.
- Purchasing: Suitable for large enterprises with long-term, high-volume use. As a fixed asset, it offers flexible allocation. Storage, maintenance, and depreciation costs should be considered.

Fourth, strictly examine the scaffolding manufacturer and product quality.
- Qualification Certification: Verify the manufacturer’s production qualifications and whether the products comply with national standards (such as GB 51210), and request a third-party inspection report.
- Materials and Craftsmanship: Prefer Q355 high-strength steel and hot-dip galvanizing to ensure product strength and durability.
- Technical Services: A reliable manufacturer should provide comprehensive support, including load calculations, erection plans, and technical guidance.

Summary: Safety first, comprehensive decision-making
Don’t make decisions based solely on price. Choose compliant products from manufacturers with a good safety record and comprehensive qualifications based on project requirements. For large projects, it’s recommended to prioritize the safety and efficiency of interlocking scaffolding, which may offer lower overall lifecycle costs. Always conduct an on-site inspection to verify the product quality and the manufacturer’s capabilities.
