First, Cup-Lock Scaffolding
Cup-Lock Scaffolding is a new type of socket-and-spigot steel pipe scaffolding. Featuring a unique toothed cup-lock joint, this scaffolding boasts quick and labor-saving assembly and disassembly, a stable and reliable structure, comprehensive equipment, strong versatility, high load-bearing capacity, safety, reliability, ease of fabrication, resistance to loss, manageability, ease of transportation, and wide application, significantly improving work efficiency. It has received numerous international and domestic awards and was one of the ten key new technologies promoted by the Ministry of Construction before 2000.
Advantages of Cup-Lock Scaffolding:
1. Versatility: This type of construction equipment can be configured to meet diverse construction needs, including single- or double-layer scaffolding, support frames, support columns, material lifting frames, climbing scaffolding, and cantilever frames, in a variety of shapes, sizes, and load-bearing capacities. Furthermore, this equipment can be used to construct structures such as construction sheds, cargo sheds, and lighthouses. It is particularly suitable for constructing curved scaffolding and supports with high load-bearing capacity.
2. Efficiency: The longest commonly used member is 3130mm and weighs 17.07kg. The entire frame can be assembled and disassembled 3-5 times faster than conventional scaffolding, making assembly and disassembly quick and labor-saving. Workers can complete the entire process with just a hammer, eliminating the inconvenience of bolting.
3. Versatility: The main components are made of standard, fastener-type steel pipe scaffolding steel pipes, which can be connected with standard steel pipes using fasteners, providing high versatility.
4. High Load-Bearing Capacity: The vertical members are connected using coaxial socket-and-socket joints, while the crossbars are connected to the vertical members using cup-and-cup joints. These joints offer reliable resistance to bending, shear, and torsion. Furthermore, the axis lines of each member intersect at a point, with the joints within the plane of the frame. This ensures a stable and reliable structure with high load-bearing capacity. (The overall load-bearing capacity is increased by approximately 15% compared to equivalent coupler-type steel pipe scaffolding.)
5. Safety and Reliability: The joint design takes into account the spiral friction and self-weight of the upper cup buckle, ensuring reliable self-locking capabilities. Loads acting on the crossbars are transmitted to the vertical bars via the lower cup buckle, which has strong shear resistance (up to 199 kN). Even if the upper cup buckle is not tightened, the crossbar joints will not come loose and cause accidents. Equipped with safety net supports, intermediate crossbars, scaffolding boards, toeboards, ladders, cantilever beams, wall braces, and other pole accessories, it is safe and reliable to use.
6. The main components are constructed of Φ48×3.5 Q235 welded steel pipe, which is simple to manufacture and affordable. It can be directly modified to existing coupler-type scaffolding without the need for complex processing equipment.
7. Resistant to Loss: This scaffolding has no loose, easily lost fasteners, minimizing component loss. 8. Low Maintenance: These scaffolding components eliminate bolted connections. They are impact-resistant, and general corrosion does not affect assembly and disassembly, requiring no special maintenance or repair.
9. Easy Management: Components are standardized and painted orange. This aesthetically pleasing design allows for neatly stacked components, facilitating on-site material management and meeting the requirements of civilized construction. 10. Transportation: This scaffolding has a longest member of 3130mm and a heaviest member of 40.53kg, making it easy to handle and transport.
Second, Wheel-Clamp Scaffolding
Wheel-Clamp (In-Line) Scaffolding is a new type of in-line steel pipe scaffolding with a self-locking function. It is manufactured in accordance with the “Safety Technical Standard for Socket-and-Spigot Steel Pipe Scaffolding in Construction” (JGJ/T231-2021) issued by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development. Its main components are vertical posts and crossbars. The rationally designed in-line joints and axial force transmission through the vertical posts ensure high three-dimensional structural strength and excellent overall stability. The reliable self-locking function effectively enhances the overall stability and safety of the scaffolding, better meeting construction safety requirements. It features quick and labor-saving assembly and disassembly, simple and stable structure, strong versatility, high load-bearing capacity, safety and efficiency, and is not easily lost, easy to manage, and easy to transport.
Advantages of wheel-lock scaffolding:
1. Reliable bidirectional self-locking capability: First, the locking function between the horizontal bars and vertical bars at the connecting plate is primarily achieved and guaranteed by the design structure, eliminating the disadvantage of manual locking in traditional scaffolding and minimizing the instability caused by human factors. Second, the connection and locking method between multiple horizontal bars and the same vertical bar at the same node has been changed from the traditional interlocking method to a single, independent, self-locking method. In traditional scaffolding, if one horizontal bar is loosened at the same node, the lock between the other horizontal bars and the vertical bars will also be broken. 2. Economical and comprehensive: It has no movable parts and consists solely of two components: vertical bars and horizontal bars. Both bars are completely factory-made. This minimizes the loss and damage of movable parts found in traditional scaffolding, reducing economic losses for construction companies. Furthermore, without any movable fasteners, the wheel buckle scaffolding maintains a balanced distribution of tensile and compressive forces at each node during use, ensuring excellent rigidity and overall stability, minimizing the safety hazards associated with movable fasteners found on traditional scaffolding.
3. Easier and faster installation: Simply insert the plugs at each end of the horizontal bar into the corresponding tapered holes on the vertical bar and tighten securely. The speed and quality of the erection and dismantling capabilities surpass those of traditional scaffolding. It is 8-10 times faster than coupler steel pipe scaffolding and more than twice as fast as bowl buckle scaffolding. 4. High Load-Bearing Capacity: The vertical and horizontal axis lines of the wheel-lock multifunctional steel pipe scaffolding are precisely aligned, resulting in a well-balanced load-bearing system. This results in a high load-bearing capacity, high overall rigidity, and strong stability. Each vertical column can support a load of 3-4 tons. Furthermore, the number of diagonal braces used is significantly reduced compared to traditional scaffolding.
5. Versatility: The wheel-lock multifunctional steel pipe scaffolding can be used with accessories such as adjustable lower supports, adjustable upper supports, double-adjustable early-release brackets, cantilever beams, and cantilever brackets. It can be used with various types of steel pipe scaffolding, achieving diverse versatility.
Third, disc-lock scaffolding: The disc-lock scaffolding is a new type of scaffolding, introduced from Europe in the 1980s, and is an upgraded version of the bowl-lock scaffolding. Also known as the chrysanthemum disc scaffolding system, plug-in disc scaffolding system, wheel disc scaffolding system, buckle disc scaffolding, layher frame (layer frame, Rea frame, because the basic principle of the scaffolding was invented by a German company, it is also called “Rea frame” by people in the industry. It is mainly used for lighting frames and background frames for large concerts. The disc-type multifunctional scaffolding is an upgraded product after the bowl-type buckle scaffolding. The socket of this scaffolding is a disc with a diameter of 133mm and a thickness of 10mm. There are 8 holes on the disc. It uses φ48*3.5mm, Q345B steel pipe as the main component. The vertical pole is welded with a disc every 0.60m on a certain length of steel pipe. This novel and beautiful disc is used to connect the crossbar, and the bottom is equipped with Connecting sleeves. The crossbars are made by welding plugs with latches to each end of a steel pipe.
Advantages of disc-type scaffolding:
1. Reliable two-way self-locking capability;
2. No moving parts;
3. Easy and quick transportation, storage, erection, and dismantling;
4. Reasonable load-bearing performance;
5. Free adjustment;
6. Standardized product packaging;
7. Reasonable assembly, offering greater safety and stability than bowl-type and portal-type scaffolding.
Fourth, coupler-type steel pipe scaffolding
Cable-type steel pipe scaffolding refers to a load-bearing scaffolding and support frame constructed of couplers and steel pipes, collectively referred to as scaffolding, erected for construction. Couplers are fastening connectors secured with bolts.
Advantages of coupler-type steel pipe scaffolding:
1) High load-bearing capacity. When the scaffolding’s geometric dimensions and construction meet the relevant requirements of the regulations, the load-bearing capacity of a single-tube scaffolding column can generally reach 15kN to 35kN (1.5tf to 3.5tf, design value).
2) Easy assembly and disassembly, flexible erection. Because the steel tube length is easily adjustable and the fasteners are simple to connect, scaffolding can be adapted for various buildings and structures, both horizontal and vertical.
3) Relatively economical. Simple to manufacture, the initial investment is low. Careful design of the scaffolding’s geometric dimensions and attention to maximizing the steel tube’s reusable capacity can achieve optimal material efficiency. A fastener-type steel tube scaffolding consumes approximately 15 kilograms of construction steel per square meter.
