First, the step distance of the scaffolding should not exceed 2m.
Second, steel pipe couplers should not be used for the vertical diagonal braces of the scaffolding.
Third, safety structural requirements for the scaffolding support frame:
1. The height-to-width ratio of the scaffolding support frame should preferably be controlled within 3. For scaffolding with a height-to-width ratio greater than 3, anti-overturning measures such as a rigid connection to the existing structure should be adopted.
2. For scaffolding support frames with a standard step distance of 1.5m, the vertical diagonal bracing should be arranged according to the erection height of the support frame, the model of the support frame, and the design value of the axial force of the uprights. The design value of the axial force of the uprights and the erection height of the scaffolding should be the maximum values within the same independent frame.
3. When the erection height of the scaffolding support frame is greater than 16m, vertical diagonal bracing should be arranged in each span within the top step distance.
4. The cantilever length of the adjustable support frame extending beyond the center line of the top horizontal bar or double-groove support beam of the scaffolding should not exceed 650mm, and the exposed length of the threaded rod should not exceed 400mm. The insertion length of the adjustable support frame into the upright or double-groove support beam should not be less than 150mm.
5. The insertion length of the threaded rod of the adjustable base of the scaffolding support frame into the upright should not be less than 150mm, and the exposed length of the threaded rod should not exceed 300mm. The distance from the center line of the bottom horizontal bar (serving as the base plate) to the bottom plate of the adjustable base should not exceed 550mm.
6. When the scaffolding support frame is erected to a height exceeding 8m, and there are existing building structures nearby, it should be reliably connected to the surrounding existing structures every 4 to 6 steps along the height.
7. Scaffolding supports should be equipped with horizontal scissor bracing every 4-6 standard steps along the height, not exceeding 8 meters. Each scissor bracing should be at least 4 spans wide and no less than 6 meters long. The angle of inclination of the diagonal bracing to the ground should be between 45 and 60 degrees.
8. The extension of the diagonal bracing members of the scaffolding should be done by lap splicing or butt splicing, meeting the following requirements:
1) When butt splicing is used for uprights, the butt couplers should be staggered. The joints of two adjacent uprights should not be located at the same level. Within the same level, the distance between two adjacent joints separated by one upright in the vertical direction should not be less than 500 mm. The distance from the center of each joint to the main node should not be greater than 1/3 of the step distance.
2) When lap splicing is used for uprights, the lap length should not be less than 1 meter and should be secured with at least two 29mm swivel couplers. The distance from the edge of the end coupler cover plate to the end of the pole should not be less than 100mm.
3) The diagonal bracing of the scissor bracing should be fixed to the extended end of the intersecting horizontal bar or the upright with swivel couplers. The distance from the center line of the swivel coupler to the main node should not exceed 150mm.
9. Scaffolding Support Frame Configuration
(1) When a pedestrian passage of the same width as a single horizontal bar is set within the scaffolding support frame, the first layer of horizontal bars and diagonal bracing can be removed intermittently to form a passage for construction personnel. Vertical diagonal bracing should be installed between the uprights on both sides, orthogonal to the passage.
(2) When a pedestrian passage of a different width than a single horizontal bar is set within the scaffolding support frame, a supporting beam should be erected above the passage. The type and spacing of the beam should be determined according to the load. The spacing between the uprights of the supporting beams in adjacent spans of the passage should be set according to calculations. The scaffolding support frames around the passage should be connected as a whole. A closed protective board should be laid on the top of the opening, and safety nets should be installed in adjacent spans. Safety warnings and anti-collision facilities should be installed at the openings for motor vehicles.
