What are the inspection items for scaffolding fasteners

The inspection of scaffolding fasteners is very important to ensure their safety and reliability during use. The inspection of scaffolding fasteners usually includes the following items:

1. Appearance inspection: Check whether there are cracks, deformation, rust, and other defects on the surface of the scaffolding fasteners, whether the bolts and nuts are threaded or damaged, etc.

2. Mechanical property inspection: including anti-slip performance, anti-destruction performance, torsional stiffness, tensile performance, etc., which are inspected by professional mechanical testing equipment.

3. Size and weight: According to the standard requirements, the main dimensions of the scaffolding fasteners such as thickness, width, height, etc. are measured, and their weight is checked to see if they meet the requirements.

4. Material inspection: The chemical composition of the scaffolding fastener materials is analyzed to ensure that the materials meet the standard requirements.

5. Bolt tightening torque: For the right-angle fasteners and rotating fasteners of the scaffolding, it is necessary to detect whether the torque after the bolts are tightened reaches the value specified in the standard.

The testing standards are mainly based on relevant national standards such as “Safety Technical Specifications for Fastener-type Steel Pipe Scaffolding in Building Construction” (JGJ 130-2011) and “Steel Pipe Scaffolding Fasteners” (GB 15831-2016).
