How to Judge the Quality of Disc-lock Scaffolding

When purchasing disc-lock scaffolding, many people’s first reaction is to look at the price. However, focusing solely on price is the easiest way to make a mistake. To avoid buying poor-quality products, pay attention to the following aspects:

1. Examine the steel pipes first, not just the appearance: Many low-quality products look similar to normal products, but the problem lies in the thinness of the steel pipes and the substandard materials. These will significantly reduce the load-bearing capacity on site.

2. The joints are crucial: The most important aspect of disc-lock scaffolding is not the steel pipes, but the connection structure. You can easily check: Are the discs welded securely? Are the pins tightly secured? Are there any looseness or wobbling? Unstable joints compromise the safety of the entire scaffold.

3. The surface treatment of the scaffolding is easily overlooked: Many people think “as long as it works, it’s fine,” but in reality, poor surface treatment and rust will drastically reduce the lifespan of the disc-lock scaffolding. Generally speaking, for long-term use, hot-dip galvanized scaffolding is recommended; for temporary use, painted scaffolding is also acceptable.

4. Manufacturer is more important than price.
A very real question is: why are some prices so low? The usual reasons are: reduced material quality, simplified processes, and lack of quality inspection. Therefore, when choosing a manufacturer, it is recommended to check whether they have production experience, can provide testing data, and have actual project cases.

5. A simple judgment logic.
If you don’t understand too much technology, remember these points: very low prices are generally problematic; examining the joints is more important than the appearance; how many years it can be used is more crucial than how much it costs.

In summary, the quality of modular scaffolding depends on three factors: structure, materials, and workmanship.
