(1) Double-row scaffolding should be equipped with scissor bracing and horizontal diagonal bracing, while single-row scaffolding should also be equipped with scissor bracing.
(2) The installation of scissor bracing for single and double-row scaffolding should comply with the following regulations:
1) The number of uprights spanned by each scissor bracing should be determined according to the following table:
The angle α between the diagonal brace and the ground is 45°, 50°, and 60°, respectively.
The maximum number of uprights n spanned by the scissor brace is 7, 6, and 5, respectively.
The width of each scissor brace should not be less than 4 spans and should not be less than 6m. The angle between the diagonal brace and the ground should be between 45° and 60°.
2) The diagonal brace of the scissor brace should be extended by a lap or butt joint. The lap length should not be less than 1m and should be fixed with no less than 2 swivel couplers. The distance from the edge of the end coupler cover plate to the end of the rod should not be less than 100mm.
3) The diagonal bracing of the scissor bracing should be fixed to the extended end of the intersecting horizontal bar or the upright using swivel couplers. The distance from the center line of the swivel coupler to the main node should not exceed 150mm.
(3) For double-row scaffolding with a height of 24m or above, scissor bracing should be continuously installed on the entire outer facade. For single and double-row scaffolding with a height below 24m, one scissor bracing must be installed at each of the two outer ends, corners, and at intervals not exceeding 15m on the facade, and should be continuously installed from bottom to top.
(4) The installation of horizontal diagonal bracing for double-row scaffolding should comply with the following regulations:
1) Horizontal diagonal bracing should be continuously arranged in a zigzag pattern from bottom to top within the same section. The diagonal bracing should preferably be fixed to the extended end of the intersecting horizontal bar using swivel couplers. The distance from the center line of the swivel coupler to the main node should not exceed 150mm. When a diagonal brace spans two steps within one span, a transverse horizontal brace should be added at the intersection of the longitudinal horizontal braces to fix the diagonal brace to its extended end.
2) For enclosed double-row scaffolding with a height below 24m, transverse bracing is not required. For enclosed scaffolding with a height above 24m, transverse bracing should be installed at corners and every six spans in the middle.
(5) Transverse bracing must be installed at both ends of open double-row scaffolding.
