Safety requirements for erection of disc-buckle scaffolding

The safety of building structures has always been the main goal in the construction process of various projects, especially for public buildings. It is necessary to ensure that the building can still maintain structural safety and stability during an earthquake. The safety requirements for the erection of buckle-type scaffolding are as follows:

1. The erection must be carried out by the approved plan and the requirements for on-site disclosure. It is strictly forbidden to cut corners and strictly abide by the erection process. Deformed or corrected poles are not allowed to be used as construction materials.

2. During the erection process, there must be skilled technical personnel on-site to provide guidance, and safety officers to follow for inspection and supervision.

3. Cross-cutting operations are strictly prohibited during the erection process. Practical measures must be taken to ensure the safety of the transfer and use of materials, accessories, and tools. Safety sentries shall be installed at traffic intersections and above and below the work site according to the site conditions.

4. The construction load on the working layer should comply with the design requirements and must not be overloaded. Formwork, steel bars, and other materials must not be stacked centrally on the scaffolding.

5. During the use of the scaffolding, it is strictly prohibited to dismantle the structural members without authorization. If dismantling is required, it must be reported to the technical person in charge for approval, and remedial measures can only be implemented after determining the remedial measures.

6. Scaffolding should be kept at a safe distance from overhead transmission lines. The erection of temporary power lines on the construction site and grounding and lightning protection measures for the scaffolding should be implemented by the relevant provisions of the current industry standard “Technical Specifications for Safety of Temporary Electricity at Construction Sites”.

7. Regulations on working at heights:
① The erection and dismantling of scaffolding should be stopped when encountering strong winds of level 6 or above, rain, snow, or heavy fog.
② Operators should use ladders to get up and down the scaffolding. They are not allowed to climb up and down the scaffold, and tower cranes and cranes are not allowed to lift people up and down.
