Only now do I know that there are so many categories of scaffolding

Nowadays, scaffolding is widely used in my country’s construction industry. It is a variety of supports erected to ensure the operation and horizontal transportation of construction workers. It plays an extremely important role in the construction of construction projects. Because different types of construction projects require different types of scaffolding, there are many classifications of scaffolding.

First, according to the purpose
1. Operation (operation) scaffolding Operation (operation) scaffolding is a scaffold that provides high-altitude working conditions for construction operations. It is divided into structural operation scaffolding (structural scaffolding) and decorative operation scaffolding (decorative scaffolding).
2. Protective scaffolding Protective scaffolding refers to scaffolding used only for safety protection, including various guardrails and scaffolding.
3. Load-bearing and supporting scaffolding Load-bearing and supporting scaffolding refers to scaffolding used for the movement, storage, support, and other load-bearing purposes of materials, such as material receiving platforms, formwork support frames, installation support frames, etc.

Second, according to the structure method
1. Rod-combined scaffolding Rod-combined scaffolding is commonly known as “multi-pole scaffolding”, or “pole assembly scaffolding” for short.
2. Frame combined scaffolding. Frame combined scaffolding is a scaffold that is composed of a simple plane frame (such as a door frame) and connecting and bracing rods. It is referred to as “frame combined scaffolding”, such as portal steel pipe scaffolding and ladder steel pipe scaffolding. Scaffolding etc.
3. Lattice component combined scaffolding Lattice component combined scaffolding is a scaffold composed of truss beams and lattice columns, such as bridge scaffolding.
4. Bench Bench is a platform stand with a certain height and operating plane. It is mostly a stereotyped product. It has a stable spatial structure and can be used alone or vertically increased and horizontally connected to expand. It is often equipped with a mobile device.

Third, according to the setting form
1. Single-row scaffolding Single-row scaffolding refers to scaffolding with only one row of vertical poles, and the other end of its small crossbar is resting on the wall structure.
2. Double-row scaffolding Double-row scaffolding refers to a scaffold with two rows of poles.
3. Multi-row scaffolding Multi-row scaffolding refers to scaffolding with more than three rows of poles.
4. Full hall scaffolding refers to the scaffolding that is fully installed according to the scope of construction operations and has more than three rows of vertical poles in both directions.
5. Intersection (periphery) scaffolding Intersection (periphery) scaffolding refers to scaffolding that is set up along the perimeter of a building or operating area and connected in circles.
6. Special-shaped scaffolding Special-shaped scaffolding refers to scaffolding with special plane and spatial shapes, such as used in chimneys, water towers, cooling towers, and other planes with circular, ring, outer square and inner circle, polygonal, upward expansion, upward contraction, etc. Special form of building construction scaffolding.

Fourth, according to the method of support
1. Floor-standing scaffolding Floor-standing scaffolding refers to scaffolding that is erected (supported) on the ground, floor, roof, or other platform structure.
2. Cantilever scaffolding. Cantilever scaffolding is referred to as “cantilever scaffolding”, which refers to scaffolding that is supported by cantilevering.
3. Wall-attached hanging scaffolding Wall-attached hanging scaffolding is referred to as “hanging scaffolding”, which refers to the stereotyped scaffolding whose upper or (and) middle part is hung on the wall hanging piece.
4. Suspension scaffolding, referred to as “suspended scaffolding”, refers to scaffolding suspended under cantilever beams or engineering structures. When a basket-type work frame is used, it is called a “hanging basket”.
5. Attached lifting scaffolding: Attached lifting scaffolding, referred to as a “climbing frame”, refers to a suspended scaffolding that is attached to the engineering structure and relies on its lifting equipment to achieve lifting.
6. Horizontal movable scaffolding Horizontal movable scaffolding refers to the scaffolding or operating platform frame with traveling equipment.

Fifth, according to the connection method
1. Socket-type scaffolding Socket-type scaffolding refers to a scaffold that uses a socket connection between a flat pole and a vertical pole. Common socket connection methods include inserts and wedge slots, inserts and bowl buckles, casings and plugs U-shaped brackets, etc.
2. Fastener-type scaffolding Fastener-type scaffolding refers to a scaffold that uses fasteners to tighten the connection, that is, a scaffold that relies on the friction generated by tightening the fastener bolts to assume the connection role.

Sixth, other classification methods
1. According to material specifications, it can be divided into bamboo scaffolding, wooden scaffolding, steel pipe or metal scaffolding, and portal combination scaffolding;
2. According to the erection location, it can be divided into exterior scaffolding and interior scaffolding;
3. According to the use occasions, it can be divided into high-rise building scaffolding, chimney scaffolding, water tower scaffolding, etc.
